About 3-4 weeks ago, I took the baby gate down, the baby gate that kept Toby out of the kitchen. We had grown tired of having to hoist ourselves over it each time we want to exit and enter the kitchen (it's just a pressurized gate) and we figured he was old enough "to be trusted".
Well, after a few weeks, I have had it! He has turned the stove top on, melted my favorite cupcake carrier lid, broken our only Frankfurt Christmas market mug, taken far too many utensils out (thus me having to wash far too many kitchen utensils), stolen my drinks, made far too many dishes, been underfoot when I am cooking in the tiniest kitchen and today, he shattered the glass lid that belonged to my favorite sauce pan. Luckily he wasn't hurt, but when I say shattered, I do mean shattered. As in into a million little tiny pieces. Our floors are tile and the glass didn't have a chance.
For safety's sake and my sanity's sake that gate is back up and I don't know when we'll take it down again.
Until later,
Emily

Emily Toby is just full of help. I know the kind myself. The bad thing about gas stoves is the knobs are on the front and you have one in Maryland and so do I. Hug the boys take care. Love Always Mom
