When your very nice, kind, helpful neighbors that you count your lucky stars that you live next to, move away without so much as a "goodbye", it's safe to assume they didn't feel the same way about you!
Until later,

or maybe their just weird :)
Maybe they are not good at Good Bye's. It's much easier meeting people and helping them. Than knowing you will never see them again. Some people just can't do it. Just be glad they were there when you needed them. Hug the boys and take care. Love Always Mom
OH, how sad!!
My own BROTHER did this to me once. I remember being very wounded by it at the time, but now it's just one of those shake your head memories. Look on the bright side - that's one less Christmas card to address!
Sometimes in the military family it's so hard to leave that some just find it easier to leave. I had a friend do that in England but a month after they were settled in she wrote to tell me how much she missed me & didn't think that she could say "good bye" so they just left. Maybe that is what happened with them.?.
Sues2u2,
Our neighbors weren't military, they were German. A big part of me is hoping it's another cultural difference.
That is so funny!! Maybe they borrowed something from you and took it with them instead of saying goodbye and having to give it back!
mlk
Ya know, that could really be true. Germans are friendly with everyone but only to a point. The way it was explained to me by a French/German friend is that your "true" friends are the ones you know all your life. Very different from what we know & how we live. Most Germans stay in the same village for most of their lives too.
Or, if they are like me, they are just not very good at goodbyes ... sad to say, I am not! Maybe to some people they are relieved :)
