If you are cooking a dish or two this Thanksgiving, or especially if you are cooking "the whole thing", like I am, here are three more reasons you should be thankful that you have your kitchen--not mine!
Let me be clear about this, though: my kitchen is not outdated, this is the "German way".

Just think of it as camping in a full size house. Just be glad the bathroom are not camper size too. You never thought how many thing you took for granted until they are gone and you have to go live like you are now. I know when we moved up here for Layton it was going back in time 15 years. 8 party phone lines, no garbage pick up at all, furnace that didn't work #2 heating that jelled up. A heated garage to no garage, from a house to the trailer. Some day you can look back and be glad for the normal things we all that for granted. One other is call each other to just talk on our cell phones, when you are only two hours ahead of me not 8. Glad to hear Toby is better. I will call in the morning. Eventually you'll be able to laugh about this & not hysterically even! We used to invite single airmen over for dinner on holidays. Luckily the apartment was big enough we just didn't have much room for cooking. The fridge sizes are pretty funny too. How are you supposed to keep everything cold, eh? Glad you've still got your sense of humor though!
